Ajiboye, disclosed this at the end of the opening of a one-day training workshop for Education Correspondents’ Association of Nigeria (ECAN) on Friday in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. He noted that the narrative about the proficiency of Nigerian teachers had begun to change due to innovations being introduced to keep them at par with their counterparts globally. By Emma Ujah, Abuja Bureau Chief & Babajide Komolafe The Central Bank  of Nigeria, CBN, yesterday, removed the Boards of Directors of First Bank of Nigeria Limited and the FBN Holdings Plc. The apex bank also reappointed 14 out of the 21 directors affected by the sack into the new board of the two institutions. The CBN also reinstated Mr Adesola Adeduntan as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of First Bank of Nigeria. Adeduntan was earlier sacked as MD by the former board of the bank. Announcing the decision to sack the directors at a briefing in Abuja, the CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele said the apex bank had to remove the directors for trying to remove Adeduntan as MD without consulting the regulators. In the results released to the Nigerian Exchange Group, NXG, the Company recorded a gross profit of N4.5billion  for the  Q1’21 which is 31 per cent  up from  N3.4billion reported for same corresponding period in 2020. Overall, Unilever recorded loss after tax of N.5 billion for the quarter under review compared to profit after tax of N1.1billion  reported for the corresponding period in 2020.
